Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union recently celebrated 80 years serving the community. To celebrate this milestone, GAFCU gave back to its members with a week-long celebration. Each day, the three branches put out treats for the members to enjoy as well as scratch offs where they could win $5, $10 or $20 and there were even some big prizes in the mix like an Apple watch, Apple TV or a Kindle Fire HD 8.
“We pride ourselves on treating our members like family,” said Glenn Guinto, Chief Executive Officer, Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union. “We have a strong sense of community, bringing our members and employees together to work toward common goals.”
Members and employees certainly work together on financial needs but they can also be seen out in the community doing food drives, breast cancer walks, toy drives and so much more.
The Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union was founded 80 years ago by five educators from Hackensack. What was once a small teachers federal credit union has grown into a profitable financial institution with close to $200 million in assets.
