Greater Alliance Helps Restock Local Food Pantries for 2018

Hoping to restock food pantries for 2018, employees and members at Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union have been working together. Beginning on Nov. 1, 2017, food collection bins were placed at each branch. All were welcome to donate non perishable items through the end of December.

“Our members and employees never cease to amaze me,” said Glenn Guinto, Greater Alliance FCU CEO. “When we see a need in the community, they are always eager to contribute.”

During the first week in January, Greater Alliance employees delivered the collected food. All food collected from the Paramus branch was brought to the Table of Plenty food pantry at Annunciation Church in Paramus. The food collected at the Hackensack branch was donated to the Center for Food Action. The food collected at the Paterson branch was brought to CUMAC, feeding people, changing lives.

Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union plans to continue their community outreach in 2018 by developing an employee volunteer program.
