Employees at Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union, GAFCU, have raised more than $900 by wearing jeans on Fridays. From April through September this year, collected money for the Hopes & Dreams Foundation, which recognizes the need for creative and social outlets for children and young adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.
Stefano Masi, a board member at GAFCU, is one of the founders of the Hopes and Dreams Foundation. He brought the idea to the board and its members were immediately on board.
“It is fantastic how our employees get behind such a great cause,” said Glenn Guinto, CEO of GAFCU. “We all have a little fun during the year and it amounts to helping a great cause.”
The donation was presented to the foundation on Nov. 17 during its annual beefsteak dinner.
