Member Referral Program

Earn Money for Referring New Members – No Muss, No Fuss, No Hassles!

Invite your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to join Greater Alliance Credit Union, and we’ll reward both you and your referral with $10 each!

  Here’s how it works:

  • Refer: Invite anyone who lives, works, worships, or goes to school in Bergen or Passaic County.
  • Earn: Receive $10 for each referral up to 10 referrals, totaling $200.
  • Easy Process: Log into Digital Banking, generate a referral code, and share it via email or text.

  Who Can You Invite?

  • Relatives: Siblings, spouses, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, and their spouses.
  • Neighbors: Residents of Bergen or Passaic County.
  • Co-Workers: Employees in Bergen or Passaic County or those at our Affiliated Groups.
  • Members of Your Place of Worship: Fellow worshippers in Bergen or Passaic County.
  • Students: Classmates from schools in Bergen or Passaic County.

Anyone who meets these criteria and is not currently a member of Greater Alliance is eligible.

  What Are the Qualifications?

  • For the Original Member: Must be at least 18 years old, in good standing with Greater Alliance Credit Union, and have Digital Banking access..
  • For the New Member: Must be at least 18 years old and not a current member. New members cannot be added as joint members; they must join independently.

How to Participate

  1. Login: Current members need to log in to their Digital Banking account.
  2. Generate Code: Create and share your referral code via email or text.
  3. Receive Reward: Once your referral becomes a member by the end of the month, both you and your referral will each receive $10 deposited into your accounts.

You can refer as many people as you like, but you can earn rewards for up to 10 referrals, totaling $200.

How do I find the referral code?

You can find the referral link (code) on your digital banking portal using your cell phone or desktop:

On Mobile:

  1. Open your Digital banking app and log in.
  2. Go to the Hamburger Menu
  3. Scroll to services and click Refer a friend to find your code
  4. Copy your referral code or link.

  2. Go to tools
  3. Click on the refer a member
  4. Copy your referral code or link.

How to Open an Account

New members can open their accounts online or by visiting any Greater Alliance branch. They’ll need the referral code generated by the original member to qualify for the reward.

*The Original Member must be at least 18 years of age and in good standing with Greater Alliance Credit Union to qualify. The New Member must be at least 18 years of age and not a current Greater Alliance Member. New members cannot be added as joint members; they must join independently. This offer may be withdrawn without prior notice. The minimum balance required within the accounts is $100 to earn interest. If the minimum balance requirement is not met, a fee will be assessed; please check our Fee and Rate Schedule. “Refer a Friend” promotional payments will be deposited by the end of the month into both respective Share Savings accounts. This promotion cannot be combined with any other cash promotion. Members are limited to 10 referrals, for a total payout of $200. Membership conditions may apply. $10 deposited into a member account is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. If the new account is closed before 6 months, a $25 closing fee will be assessed.*
