Our PayNow is a fast, safe, and easy way to securely complete your Greater Alliance loan payment, typically within minutes. If you have a loan with Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union, you will receive a text message 5 days before your payment is due informing you of the payment amount along with a secure link to pay. By clicking on the secure link within the text message, you will be able to set up our loan payment system and review your loan payment options.

Important Details:

1) With the PayNow service, you will receive a text message informing you of the amount due on your loan. If you wish to opt out of our text messaging service, you can do so by replying to this message with “STOP”.

2) The link will take you to a portal where you will be asked for last name, the primary account holder’s date of birth and last 4 digits of your social security number.
3) If you choose to use this service to make payments, you will need to verify your account the first time. To do so you will have to set up the following:

3.1) A 4-digit PIN: once you have entered your account number and date of birth, it will prompt you to create a 4-digit PIN. Store this information in a secure place as you will need this PIN to verify future payments.

3.2) Preferred method of payment: to make a payment you will have to add your preferred form of payment in the portal. You can do this by selecting ADD NEW DEBIT CARD or ADD NEW BANK ACCOUNT which will prompt a secure website for you to input your information. If done correctly, there will be a message stating, ‘Payment Method Success’ and you will be redirected to the payment portal.

4) Once your account has been successfully verified, you will be directed to the payment portal where you’ll be able to see all your loans and will also be able to select your preferred payment method.

Q: How do I make payment without being charged a fee?A: The $5.95 convenience fee is only if you use the PayNow service via text or from this portal. If you Digital Banking or on our mobile app and make a payment from one of your Greater Alliance Accounts, you won’t be charged any fees.

Q: If I opt out of receiving text messages, will I still be able to pay my loans online?A: Yes, you will still have access to the payment portal through our website or online mobile banking. However, you will not receive any text notifications regarding payment reminders and will not be able to make a payment via text message.

Q: How can I pay my account via text message?A: Once you receive a text reminder, you respond “Pay” to the same text. You will be asked to enter your pin to verify your account, once you have completed this process your payment will be complete, and you should receive a confirmation text.

- You can do so by logging in to your online or mobile account using your smartphone, tablet, or desktop by selecting your loan and “Make a Payment”.
