  How do I open an account

What You Need:

  • If you are a NEW or an EXISTING member you will need to open The Edge Checking account at a branch where you will be required to provide a government issued ID.

Initial Deposit– There is a $5 minimum deposit required when opening The Edge Checking Account.

  • When opening an account at a branch, you can transfer funds from another Greater Alliance account or deposit funds using a Check.

Direct Deposit– Direct Deposit simplifies your banking by automatically depositing your payroll, and other recurring deposits directly into any Greater Alliance account. To set up Direct Deposit, provide our Routing Number – 2212-7587-6 along with your account/member number to your depositor.

*A parent or a legal guardian is required to open a checking account if the member is under the age of 18.  After the member turns 18, they can have Overdraft Privilege on their checking account, but they will be required to open a checking account that offers it.  A joint owner is not required to for a checking account from the age of 18-21.  At the age of 21 checking accounts are automatically converted to Easy Checking accounts unless requested otherwise. Membership conditions may apply, and the program is subject to change without notice.
